DeVry University is an international educational institution offering technical education and degrees to students at multiple locations. The Indianapolis location is one of the newer ones across the country. The college offers both undergraduate and graduate programs that students may obtain while studying in one of two schools. Housing is available for full-time students and there are several financial aid options for students that need assistance with tuition.


There are two major fields of undergraduate study: Business and Management, and Engineering and Information Sciences. Business and Management includes such specialities as Business Information Systems, Sales and Marketing, Technical Communication, and Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship. Engineering and Information Sciences includes Electronics Engineering Technology, Network and Communications Management, and several sub-specialties within Computer Information Systems. Similar specialities are offered on the graduate level through DeVry’s Keller School of Management online.

Students studying in the college of Business & Management choose from such programs as an associate’s degree in accounting or a bachelor’s degree in technical management or business administration. There are also several master’s programs available. In addition to standard degrees, there are also several areas of specialization within the degree programs including criminal justice, hospitality management and sales and marketing.

For those interested in studying in the College of Engineering & Information Science, there are a variety of degrees including associate’s degrees in areas such as network systems administration. There are several bachelor’s programs including programs like computer engineering technology, games and simulation programming and network and communications management. There are also master’s programs and specializations within the bachelor’s programs. The game and sims degree in particular is a rare area of study that is difficult to find at other universities.


Admissions are non-competitive. Students wishing to attend need only follow a simple three-step process. To begin, students need to complete and submit the application along with the application fee. The application may be completed online or printed off and mailed in.

Next, official academic transcripts need to be sent to the admissions office. Finally, after the application is received, an admissions representative will contact the student to discuss career goals, available programs financial aid and housing opportunities. Once the student is accepted, an invitation to orientation will be issued.

DeVry also proudly accepts the GI Bill and provides excellent programs for veterans and those currently serving in the military.

Financial Aid

The Financial Aid Office offers numerous aid options including traditional scholarships, grants and subsidized loans. In addition to these programs, In addition to these options, students may pay half of their expenses upfront then participate in a payment plan for the remainder. The university also offers an employer billing program for students whose employers are paying tuition for them.

In order to be considered for financial aid, students must complete the Free Application for Financial Aid that is available online starting in January every year. Financial information for both students and families is required in order to complete the application.

Many students graduate to work at such companies as AT&T, GE, Boeing and Motorola because the college offers a world-class education available to students via traditional classroom training or online coursework. Entire degrees may be earned online so that students may continue to work and take care of their families while obtaining an education.
