The projected tiution increase for 2011/12 year is almost criminal. I know tuition has doubled in the last 7-8 years which means some students cannot afford to attend anymore or they are forced to take out staggering amounts of loans to attend. All other businesses are forced to reduce expenses when it gets tough but I don't hear of any major cost reductions coming fron the universties in TN. Also, I heard today that the current university president has a goal of UT becoming a top 25 university. In the state of TN this is a serious mistake as it will result in tuition being in the top 25 with very few TN residents being able to attend as wages are lower than average in the US.
