I had a great time at CIDMA. I learned a lot, and I am currently enjoying my externship and no I am not on welfare. Think maybe the negative personalities of the two people below may be the reason they can not find a job... not the school that they went to. The teachers are great and Im do recommend this school.

I went to this school for the MS program. Was on the honor roll the whole time, extern was okay, but didn't get hired on. It's been a year later and still NO JOB! Doctor's won't hire a student from "CIDMA" because we learn "outdated" material and programs, several Doctor's in this area have told me this. The extern lady, blows you off, send you on wild goose chase interviews, BEWARE!!!

I am disappointed to see the only comment for this school is a negative one. As a former graduate, I have been actively working in the medical community since my graduation from CIDMA. The instructors go the extra mile with each student's individual needs and administration is always available day and evening. One gets what one puts into any education and Cleveland Institute offers a very DIVERSE curriculum to encourage the success of their grads. FYI ~ the state of Ohio does not require any certification for phlebotomy. It is voluntary and certainly any certification is beneficial for your own personal goals. Research! And see which certifications you would want as your credentials. Just wanted to add a more realistic opinion of CIDMA ~ Mentor campus.

If you are wanting total experience and a great education for the MA field this school is not for you. They mainly cater to students who are on welfare. The good externships are givin to those on welfare because they get hired on. Someone like myself who paid for the whole thing got a crappy extern and did not learn as much as the ones who got in a great practice and was hiring. Their phlebotomy course sucks. Most hospitals look for ASPC certified phlebotomist not ASPT certified. If you want to be a CPT then this school is NOT for you. I have to go to a community college and take phlebotomy all over again so I can get into the hospitals to draw blood and work in the lab. DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL. OH THE JOB PLACEMENT DEPT REALLY SUCKS. THEY ONLY HELP THE ONES WHO ARE ON WELFARE.

I found this school to be excellent, and not far behind as some have said. As for phlebotomy, instructors have said further education is needed. As for exterships, thats what they are externships, not where do they claim to get you a job or even an offer for that matter, just like the real world and other school. As for them catering to welfare students are you kidding me...that is a joke in itself, exterships are gievn how they come across and where that student will fit in. I in fact told the placement director where I wished to be placed and if it works out then it does if not then it is up to me to do some networking and find a job, the point tot his school is to get the education and sorry to say that those doctors who have had a bad experience with a former CIDMA student (s) then they have every right to be upset and not want them around. but I have talked to many who love their CIDMA students and loves bringing them in. The only complaint is they need to screen students...and not let any idiot in, serious people only and not someone who really does not give a flying rats asssss what they learn or about the schools reputation.
