I just started at Everest a few weeks ago. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. So far, this has been more of a hinderance than having no sort of degree, including a high school diploma. I have been informed that if I cannot produce my high school transcripts, even though Everest has my Ohio State University transcripts, with the name of my high school on them, that I may not be able to attend Everest. I graduated from high school 35 years ago...I doubt they will have my transcripts. I have also been told that my having a degree exits me from any kind of financial aid except loans, which Everest does not seem fond of as well. Please tell me why it is all right for people without a high school diploma to attend, why it is OK for people who have been on welfare all of their lives to get their education there paid for, and why I am getting such grief over having worked all of my life, and having a Bachelor's Degree prohibits me from doing the same. Please explain as I do not understand how Everest can accept people with records, with no education, all the while giving me such a runaround because I have a degree........This is ludicrous.
