Don't put all your energy into Juilliard, remember that statistically (less than 6.45% of applicants get in) you will probably not get in. There are other fabulous music, drama and dance schools all over the world so audition EVERYWHERE THAT WILL HAVE YOU. Also, loving to dance, act and sing doesn't mean anything. You need to be TALENTED at ONE thing. That means choose an instrument, theater or dance and stick with it. People that are sorta good at lots of things don't get into Juilliard. Hope this helps.

Hi I'm Justin From Philippines. I've heard about this school from one of my friends. I read everything about Juilliard and I find quite interesting. I'm a first year college student 16 years old and my college course is bachelor of music major in violin. I've also heard that this school is the best music school in the world. I hope that someday I may study in Juilliard so that I may be able to enhance my violin skills. I dont know if I am really talented because I just started playing the violin like a year and a half ago. I hope that when I get a chance to study in Juilliard I may improve my skills because my dream is to become a full-time violinist as I grow up. =)

ACTING STUDENTS! Have fun in your audition! Remember that it is your two minutes, and they are taking time to listen to you! I was not called back for their drama department, but I feel as though the experience was definitely a positive one, and it was one of my best auditions. Have fun and be yourself.

My name is brittany and I go to mesquite high school in arizona. I do love to sing but feel that it isnt good enough. My grades arent well but the one thing I love and believe nobody can take away from me is my gift of singing. I've been told Im the best singer that my friends have ever heard but to me it doesnt mean much unless I get an outsider's point of view. I believe that realitives and friends can be biased. I was in choir in 8th grade and am now in my junior year of high school. I am positive that next year I am going to take concert choir again. My friends have told me to tryout for american idol and even though I do not enjoy that show that much I will tryout because it would be a great opportunity for me. I am trying my best to raise my grades and my parents are putting pressure on me to do better. I have never done bad in school (grades wise) but sophomore year I did. I was very dissapointed in myself. So this year I have started out badly but am planning to raise my grades. Last year while taking the AIM's I met the standards on reading and math and approched the standards in writting. So I plan to take them all over again in hopes of getting exceeds on all. I will try my best and I will do everything I can to get accepted into juilliard. Singing is my life and sometimes the only thing that keeps me going. It's my secret place. When I say secret place I mean its like a safe harbor for me. It is my life.

My name is Jennifer Hudson, and singing has been my passion since I learned to talk. I started playing guitar at the age of 10. since then it has been all that I am interested in as well as singing. I have done acting before in a few plays but I still need to get the hang of it. As for my guitar skills I have taught myself everything I know (with a little help along the way) and my singing skills are accelerating higher and higher. I sang in front of my drama class as well as the drama club twice. I have just recently found out about Julliard and ever since then, it has been the school that i dream to go to.

Hello, my name is Jennifer. i am in the eleventh grade at shoemaker high school in killeen texas. my biggest goal in the early stages of my life is to start preparing myself for a future in doing the things that i love. i love to sing and to express my self though art. This school has been my goal to reach for higher learning past high school since i was very young. now that i am nearly graduated i think it is time to make my self known in this community and also let you know that i am ready..and that i will not rest until i walk though those doors at julliard and find my goals reached. expect to hear more from me..very soon. I dearly love to learn and express myself, and this university is the best place to achieve that. with sincerst hope(that someone on the board reads these comments), Jennifer Kleinfield
