Here's a MAJOR concern with Mildred Elley...I graduated from the school 07/04 with student loans which were paid off in full in 2006. I requested my transcripts 10/07 for a certification exam which the school promotes. What I received from Mildred Elley was a bill for charges incurred AFTER graduation AND a refusal to release transcripts until this bill was paid. I sent a certified letter to President Faith Takes, only to receive a call from the financial office still witholding my transcripts until payment with the explanation that the college had undercharged me for tuition and (this is the kicker)"...it's only $103.00!" As soon as I got the NY Dept. Of Education involved, I received a letter from Mildred Elley stating my invoice is being 'written off' and my transcripts were sent. This process cost me 6 weeks in the exam application process and of course, stress. Students of this for-profit private college should be wary and know their rights.

I graduated from Mildred Elley back in the early 2000's with an AOS in Paralegal Studies. At graduation I was not an honor student. When my final transcript was printed and sent to me, I was an honor student. I applied for student loans through their student loan applications and never heard a word about them. I was never sent any bills and you can guess what is happening now. I would never recommend anyone to go to this particular institute.
