I've been to the Milan school in Windcrest, TX on at least 5 ccassions. I can say only good things about the students that have taken care of me but I cannot say the same for the support personnel and front desk pesonnel. Customer service from the front does not exist. On 3 occasions I've made appts. The first time I did not request anyone, just an appt and was not greeted at the front desk other than to say "fill this out" and I did and waited and after 40 minutes (with an appt) was finally taken. No problems with the hair service. No one spoke to me or let me kmow anything while I waited. the next time I had an appt, the student did not know she had an appt and was finally called to the front and she apologized for the long wait - again more than 20 minutes past the appt time. But she was a great student and did a fantastic job. But again the front desk personnel are useless when it comes to acknowledging or caring for the customer. Today, I called about 10 am to make an appt for 5 PM with Mindy Esparza - this was to be her 3rd time taking care of me - she is GOOD. I signed in, again that was my only intereaction with the front desk - "sign in here" and I had told her "I have an appt" and when I signed in, it asked on the form, "do you have an appt?" I put "YES" but no one ever looked and there were at least 4 or 5 walk-ins ahead of me. No one at the front desk ever interacted with any of the waiting customers - not one of them. Finally about 5:33 PM, I inquired about my appt with Mindy. She asked when I made the appt and I told her that I had called in that AM. They paged her but no one came to the front desk. After about 2 minutes, she paged an instructor and I'm not sure if that was for me or what. She continued to page, this time it was for students to come to the front desk; I guess this was to make assignments. They began to bunch up at the desk and I guess she forgot about me. Then she looked at me and said she didn't think Mindy was working today. I asked why someone would make an appt with me knowing that the student was not there. Her response, "I dunno"! Not I'm sorry, can I get you in with another student or can we reschedule you with Mindy. It was like I was supposed to figure it out. I work at a regular job and have a part time job in the tax season and at both jobs, if I ever treated a client in the manner that the clients at this location are treated from the time they come thru that front door, I would be unemployed!! I realize that the students are there for an education but I'm not so sure the staff are as educated as they need to be. So what are they teaching the students.
