I made the mistake of going to this school in 2006. During my 852.5 hours there, I never touched hair color or any other chemicals. And, even though we had nail tech students, I was given nothing but pedicures. There was no education provided there. They would show you a movie, then have you recreate what the movie showed. That is not how you teach people to become successful hairstylists. When I decided to leave that school, they charged me $2500 to release my hours to the Texas Department Of Licensing and Regulations. Even though they got paid, they didn't release my hours until 9 months later. Then, they shorted me half an hour. I graduated from school in May and wasn't able to take my test until October because they were dragging their heels at ECBC. If you want to go to beauty school, DO NOT GO TO ECBC. You would be better off lighting your money on fire and watching it burn.
