I'm none too happy about returning to this vocational school to complete its med asst program. Its parent corporation, Premier Education Group, recently sent a disappointment letter, expressing its disappointment that my lack of attendance has prevented me from graduating it as originally scheduled. I was recovering from open heart surgery, and notified both Harris and Premier that I couldn't return immediately after the surgery. I found out online that the school (not the parent corporation) dropped me six days after discharge from a hospital following cardiac bypass surgery. The letter from Premier wanted me to send 5 grand, to Harris School . . ./Premier Education Group,in Connecticut, since the Direct Loan Service was informed I "graduated" the day I was transported to a hospital for cardiac evaluation. In comparison, Rutgers U. allowed me to complete two courses during a time when I was hospitalized, and removed the incompletes when I completed the course work. But Harris, under Premier Education Group, failed me over and over again for the same clinical course although all work required was completed, and received A's on the tests. I really do not want to do at this point. The answers I received from Harris differ 180 degrees from answers provided by its parent corporation. But I need a job, even though I was already permanently disabled before learning I have heart disease. My experience at Harris School of Business in Cherry Hill and its parent corporation, Premier Education Group, should be a waving flashing red flag, but I am desperate to work, and I'm so co-dependent I wouldn't know the difference. My gut feeling for other student applicants is to think very hard while the admission reps use multiple tools to get you to sign on, regardless of the tour and the sentiment--give it a few days for the mad rush to force you to sign on to simmer. I tried, but fell for it.

Unfortunately, at this time I am dissatisfied with The Harris School of Business. There are continuous changes ranging from a high turnover rate with the faculty itself to the written school policies. Some of the faculty is unprofessional and unprepared to teach a class the necessary skills to prepare their students for their profession of choice. They fail to address unruly students in fear of retaliation. As you can imagine, this results in an uncomfortable learning enviroment for all. Commonly, final grades from a previous class are not disbursed until the third week of a new class. However they are supposed to be returned within the first week of that new class. At one point, teacher evaluations were given to each of the classes for feedback which was a plus and small glimmer of hope to many. They have not been given since then. Lastly and the most important, the unsanitary conditions in the bathroom and lunch room are unbareble. My wish for The Harris School of Business is to retain a permanent body of staff that is not concerned with the quantity of students and more focused on the quality and delivery of their school and reputation.

The staff did deliver on what they promised. I got a job in the field and am making good money. I took the inititative and looked on my own while a student and pointed out the type of position I was looking for. If you wait for them to find you a job, you learned NOTHING. They teach job finding and networking skills to use in the market. I would totally recommend.

It is hard enough to find a job theese days. When I use a job search site to help in finding work I dont think that it is ethical at all for the Harris Business School to hide a contact us box so small that if you arent looking for it you will click onto the next page with out knowing that you are now on their contact list. So, when I completed my application and hit submit. Within 10 minutes I recieved the first of 20 calls since NOV. 11. It is now NOV.18 and I have spoken to 5 different recruiters and have asked each one of them to take me off the list. Which they did not. ( While writing this my phone just rang and I just got off the phone with #6 ) Are they that desperate for business that you have phone potential students into submission to get paid for what probably amounts to a worthless certificate that will cost $13,000 to get when you can get the same certificate from a Counnty College for half that plus the credits to go with it .
