Best decision I ever made was coming to CCS. I did the dental course an was really happy I did. The teachers were very patience and I really luv the career. When I first came to central career I didn’t know if I could make it. I had so much stuff going on in my life and going back to school was really tuff for me. I was having a bad break up with my ex and couldn’t really focus as much as I wanted. But the teachers and staff at central really went out of their way for me. Definitely take advantaghe of the extra tutoring they have. You’d be really dum not to. If ic an handle the work you can to but you have to do your homework and make sure you come to school. I missed some time because I got sick. I was worried I wouldn’t catch up but the tuturing and mrs. Vernell’s encouragement really made the difference. I can’t tell you about the other courses there but Dental was just awesome. Mrs. Vernell helped me out big time with finding the site and getting my rezume in order. Ya know, sometimes things in life can get you down but when you have a goal you really gotta focus on it and do what it takes to finish up. I wanted to show my family – and my ex ;-) that I could do it and be OK on my own. Going to central was the best thing that happened to me in a pretty cr@ppy year overall.

Well I didn't have any problems when I enrolled but from what I heard from my classmates the administration at this school really sucks. They are very disorganized and rush you into their school. A few of them enrolled like literally few days before class had started and now they're rushing them w/all the paperwork they need for financial aid. Another thing, they don't even let you try on the scrubs. So you have to know your size, they'll order just one set (pants & top) & you get it like 1week later after class started. You can only order S, M, L, XL. No XS! So for those who are really skinny, a Small would still be big for you from what I heard & seen from my classmates. They only have 1 dental chair per classroom so you got to wait for your turn & there's about 15 students per class. I also talked to someone in career service at this school 'coz I'm looking for a job. So they got my contact info & said someone was going to call me but till now I haven't heard from anyone. And it's been 3weeks already! The administration also said we would get an hr lunch break but that's a lie! We get 2 mini breaks. Other than that, teachers (which are all females) are very nice, funny, and patient in explaining things well.

I agree in how the administration puts on a front until your enrolled and attending the school. You gradually find out you have to find your own externship, you have to find your own job without the help form the school, you will only get your certificate until YOU find a job and are working a specific amount of time. Ethically you should receive your certificate when your course is complete and you have met all requirements for graduation. Not when the school desides that you need to work for a specific amount of time/hour to get this certificate.

The administration is great when you first meet with them. This is a bogus place. There are many complaints with the state on their behalf.

I am a student at CCS and IT IS THE BEST DECISION I EVER MADE. Im learning so much about becoming a dental assistant and they are helping me with my rezume and cover letter . . . the teachers are AWESOME and have tons of experience workign as dental assistants. i kno some of the people who have not been happy here and there are definately two sides to every story. the school had to get rid of a teacher who was takin stuff and that teacher got super nasty. when people get angry they do all kinds of nasty stuff. but the school has been here for 15 years so they are definately doing soemthing right. I know the people that finished school before me and they are working now and doing great. some people bring all their person stuff to school and love to cause drama. come on people. we are not in high school any more. The TRAINING IS WHAT I NEED and i am getting prepped to get the job i'm looking for. some of the haters out there are unhappy no matter what. we had a class of 24 studetns like half the time. the rest of the time we had 12 peopl ein our class. and there's plenty of equipment, teachers, supplies to practice all the hands on stuff that we need to learn. I've been working on my rezume with mrs. v and i'm getting it where it needs to be. there is home work and you definately have to do it but if you complain about everything all day, no school can help you. there it is. I'M GLAD I FOUND THIS SCHOOL.
