My son Jason has worked at the Keene Beauty Academy for about 5/6 years now. He is disabled and does odd jobs at the academy twice a week. He goes in with his staff people who assist him while he is there. Kathy, one of the owners has been wonderful and kind to him. Jason adores her. However, the other owner, Cara, is a different story. I have on 3 different occasions and by seperate staff people been told of her rudeness towards them and of comments she made in regards to my son getting one of his ears pierced. Not that his desire to get his ear pierced is/was any of her business. Recently, upon hearing of one of her employees being rude to a new staff person, I called and spoke with Kathy. I was extremely upset, yet Kathy was kind while speaking to me and reassured me that she would investigate my complaint. Cara called me a few moments later and was very rude. Her attitude was uncalled. I have heard many negative things about her over the years, but not having dealt with her in any manner, didn't know what to think. After her phone call, I now believe everything I've heard about her and feel strongly that this woman has issues that she needs to deal with. Word of mouth can be the Keene Beauty Academy's best friend or worst enemy. I've grown up in this town. It's a small town and everyone knows everyone. I'm well known as a strong advocate for the disabled in this community and well respected. I fully intend on spreading the word as to my experience with this woman. And what do you think Jason's staff people will be saying???? What do you think former students are saying about you, Cara??????? YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF!!!! We all make our own reputations and Cara's just solified hers.
