I am currently a student at Ross and all of the comments I have read ring true for the Fort Wayne campus as well. I wasted 3 of the 5 mods with a teacher that didn't know what she was talking about. She constantly had to call or email her friends in order to get information to teach us what we needed to know. In the end, she still taught us nothing. Everything I learned during that time, I taught myself. If it weren't for my teacher on the other side, I would have dropped the program my 1st mod in. The dean was of no help either because even when we went to her to discuss our concern for the teaching, she kept making excuses. After the 3rd mod, the teacher finally decided to step down because she got tired of us making complaints. They treat us like we are kids in grade school yet they keep yelling about professionalism every time I turn around. Where is their professionalism? The dean now plays dumb like nobody ever told her that the students were having problems. I would not recommend this school to anybody. It's not worth it, even in getting done quicker than some other programs. I would rather go to school for two years and get something out of it than to go to a school where I pay $15,000 to watch movies for two hours because we have no other work.

Speaking from experience here. I am a 26 year old female who is a Medical Assistant. The commercials for this school are a joke, and at the very least misleading. They show young women wearing stethoscopes and talking about how they have a great career. ROSS DOES NOT HAVE A NURSING PROGRAM. They have Medical Assistant programs- BIG difference. I feel sorry for the people who waste money on Ross to get a Medical Assistant certificate. Employers want at least 2 years experience and even when that requirement is met, most jobs start at $8-11 per hour. Tell me, is paying $15,000-$20,000 for the Medical Assistant training WORTH IT? No, it's not. Ross is misleading young people and getting them into major debt for job skills that don't pay squat! I was recently accepted into a nursing program. I will be going much farther in life with a nursing degree. Medical Assisting is a waste of time, and Ross is an awful excuse for a school.

I attended Ross Medical in Grand Rapids MI from September 08 thru July 09. I was enrolled in the MIBOA program and graduated with a 93% average. My biggest concern with this school is making big promises to get you to sign up,take your money and then not deliver what they promised in the first place. I put all my effort into what they offered but the instructors and administration staff were extremely unprofessional. I had one instructor that was very knowledgeable and the other was awful, all she did was talk about her personal life. Those nights were a waste of my time. I could have takent the book home, studied what I needed to study and pass the tests without her worthless lectures. None the less, I graduated and found my own job. The career development staff were pretty worthless also. They really had no good connections within the medical community so finding jobleads was really up to me. I definately learned a lot about billing to use in my current job, but that is because of all my efforts to get my moneys worth. Beware, make sure you are extremely responsible and a self starter or you will get nothing out of this school. There seems to be no one there with good guidence skills, again very UNPROFESSIONAL on all levels at Ross in Grand Rapids MI.

This is by far the worst school that I have ever attended. As a student, I felt that their proffesionalism and willingness to help us succeed was a big lie. From the time of admissions right through orientation, promises were made and never kept. The administrative staff was belittling and this was the worst experience that I have ever had. I felt as if they took my money and ran with it, leaving me behind to fend for myself. I would not suggest going to this school. Ever.

Ross medical education centers is without a doubt the worst school that I have ever attended. I am about to graduate in October, and most of the things promised to me in orientation as well as when I signed up have not been fulfilled. The administrators are rude and lack understanding for unforeseen situations. Their lack of professionalism and preparedness is evident in all that they do and represent. I would not suggest going to this school unless you want to have promises made to you that are meant to be broken and wish to spend some $13,000 on those broken promises.

Ross Medical Education Center has some great aspects but it is not a student friendly school. It does not inform you of any rules and regulations until after you have signed up and comitted the tuition fee and I ask. In orientation the rules and regulations and policy's are explained. Before joining the school talk to them and have everything explained.

Ross Medical Education Center in Madison Heights, Michigan is not forth right with students when they are being interviewed for classes. Ross Medical has strict policies about attendences and other policy and procedures that effect your grades. However, these rules are not explained to the students till after they have joined the classes and committed the $13,000 to attend the school. This particuliar campus does not deal with students proffessionally and is almost anti-student. The MIBOA instructors cannot control their class rooms and when a student trys to work out a problem nothing is done. Excessive cheating is apparent but nothing is done.
