I am currently attending National College in Louisville. I have heard alot of people complain about the school. I feel that an individual gets out of it what they put into it. I transfered from another school due to scheduling issues. Since I began attending, I have had very few problems; and when one arose, I found people who were willing to help me. I graduate this may with my Associate's Degree, and will be completing my Bachleor's in November of this year. I am holding a 3.2 GPA or better. I have learned alot from my classes. Some more than others. But like I said, one gets out of it what they put into it. I came to learn and that is what I have done.

I attended National College for about a year and a half. I had some good teachers and some not so good teachers. By the way, the application fee is $30. I should have looked into going elsewhere 1st. Going to a community college or reputable university would be a better choice.I was very disappointed with the level of education at this school. I don't know why I stayed so long, but I left because I couldn't take it anymore. The tuition is too expensive for what you receive, believe me.

I have contacted Nat'l College everyday for 1 week asking them not to call me because I am not interested and they keep calling me everyday. They say my name will be removed from the list but it has not been removed yet!

Let me start by saying that I am 38, a Single parent with one child. I have been laid off since July 2010.. I am currently on unemployment... I took total advantage of going back to College to better myself and the Life of my young child... In Nov. 2010 I enrolled in The Medical Billing and Coding Diploma Program offered by National College (Lou KY).... Enrolling without investigating the College was MY FIRST MISTAKE I made... I was promised an Internship in my last Term... I was told during my 2nd Term that the college will NO LONGER be placing students in an Internship for MB&C... I was told that I would have to go out and search for my own place of Business in order to get my ON THE JOB experience that I was PROMISED in the beginning... I must find the place and let Natl College know where I am choosing to go to... Then the school MUST APPROVE of the Employer I chose... It must NOT be inconvenient for the school to visit, or to stay in contact with... THIS WAS NOT WHAT I WAS TOLD IN THE BEGINNING....This one complaint is just ONE of the MANY that i currently have with this college.... I have made ALOT of mistakes in my life, but choosing to go to National College was one of MY BIGGEST.. Making the decision to go back to school while I was unemployed was and IS the ONLY the 2nd chance that I will have to make this work!!! I graduate in Feb. 2012 and I am SCARED TO DEATH because I am NOT going to be JOB READY due to the teachers NOT having the ability to TEACH...Not to mention the HUGE AMOUNT OF MONEY that will need to be paid back! How can you pay the loans back if you can not find a JOB in the field that you went to school for in the 1st place????? I have not even scratched the surface of all the issues and HEADACHES that I & MANY other students have had with Student Services ( they are understaffed and the staff that is there, does NOT care about you or YOUR Problems..... GOING BACK TO COLLEGE SHOULD BE A HAPPY AND EXCITING TIME IN ONES LIFE, but for ME, its been a MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL struggle and a fight since day one... AND THEY ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF A LAWSUIT FROM THE STATE OF KY (enough said)!!!! If ONLY one person reads this and choose NOT to follow my footsteps by going to Natl College, then I will be Happy that I stopped one person from making a wrong decision... My fight with this school is NOT over... Next I am taking all of my complaints to Jack Conway & See what Happens!!!!! In closing, If you are looking into going back to College, PLEASE make sure that you DO NOT ENROLL into a FOR-PROFIT College.... They are ONLY looking for MONEY and once they FINALLY get you ENROLLED, they TOTALLY forget about why you came there in the first place...!! You can choose NOT to listen to my warning about National College, if NOT, PLEASE research & ask around about the Colleges that you might have in mind!!! I know this sounds a little weird, but go to the college that you are thinking about attending and just walk up to some random students in the parking lot and just ask them what they honestly think about their School, the Good, Bad & the ugly.... Best of Luck to you all..
