Mr. Leon's School of Hair Design is a top notch school. It belongs to a man that bought it and was trained by Nick (previous owner.) He & his wife built the school into a Class A school. Leon was also on the Board of Cosmotologists for the State of Idaho. He & his wife prided themselves on the fact their students placed higher than others on the State Test. I was looking for the history on this school but couldn't find it so thought I would share what I know. Leon, along with his wife were very young when they took over this business. They didn't come from any wealth or privilege. That always means you can do and achieve anything if you keep your eye on the prize. In my humble opinion I find it interesting to know about the lives and where people come from that manage to own their own successful companies. It is always refreshing to see people that are successful to not forget where they came from and remain true to yourself. Leon was a humble man and a wonderful teacher. Even if you thought he was hard on you, you learned because he wanted the best for you and from you. His life was not without tragedy as most of ours aren't. His only son passed away at 21 years old. Leon passed away when he was 54. His daughter Lisa is now running the business and from what I can gather she & her husband have started another school or schools, one of which I believe is in Lewiston, Idaho. So, in my humble opinion again, all the students that are thinking about going to beauty school I can only say if they decide to go to Mr. Leon's School of Hair Design they will become one of the best stylists and cosmotologists.
