I am recently retired Executive Director of the national German Studies Association and have made several site visits. Wartburg College has an excellent German Studies Program with a very up-to-date curriculum and faculty that matches. But that is not all. Small classes, undergraduate research opportunities, and an interested faculty characterize all departments and majors at this fine liberal arts college. Their recently completed $30 million Wellness Center, with every conceivable new facility for sports and fitness fulfills the tradition of "a sound mind in a sound body." Also 38% of students have taken advantage of study abroad programs. The dozen new buildings completed in the past 15 years highlight an attractive, functional campus.

Wartburg College and the City of Waverly have a terrific connection to each other. The college is located somewhat close to the downtown area. Many of the buisnesses in the community welcome familys and students to think of Waverly as your home away from home. Wartburg is also a very inclusive college concerning people with disabilities. They provide many inclusive events, and proudly support relationships promoting student support and understanding of those with challenges. I am so proud to have this wonderful College in Our community. Thank you
