I went to Powder Springs Beauty College and had a wonderful expiernce, I had my hair permed then colored the following week, I have recomended many friends to have their hair done, my niece is starting to school there in november

My Daughter Julia D. Schellinger enrolled in the "Nail Manicurist" course in mid Aug 2009, pd her "Sale" priced tuition of $1,600.00 + books & supplies in good faith. She started the classes in early Sept & after one week of going to class, each day for the required amount of time, for a whole week, she never once saw or had anyone identified to her as an "instructor" in the class room. When she inquired in regard to an "instructor she was told by the Office Manager, to just go ahead & do the book work because that was required anyway!! How can you learn anything "doing bookwork" when there is no-one there to answer questions or teach you correct techniques!! She quit the school & requested her tuition be returned. It has not been! The manager told her she would have to discuss it with the owner who was out sick! & as far as we know has yet to return! The Manager refused to give her any further information on how to contact the owner. Many calls have gone unanswered & when she does get the office manager she is told to quit calling, because there is nothing she can do!! My daughter is now in the process of getting in Touch with the Georgia Secretary of State the Better Business Bureau, & the TV Stations. She would have had no problem with the cost, if the school would have delivered the instruction she contracted for.

The school is TERRIBLE. I went there to have my hair done and ended up sueing the school because my hair was so ruined. I had to cut my hair by about seven inches to fix the problem and even now (over a year later) my hair still isn't all fixed.

My name is Julia Schellinger. If you read older posts you will see that I have been in dispute with this school for over a year, with no response from them. Well, just an update. On November 10th, I appeared in court regarding this dispute. NO ONE FROM THE SCHOOL WAS PRESENT! Therefore, I was awarded a "default" judgement. PLEASE if you are considering a school, do your research!!
