True there is no regional accreditation here. But that does not cheapen the degree. There is accreditation by an agency that is recognized by the US Dept of Education to accredit post secondary institutions. Though there is no SACS accreditation for this school, there is no reason that FSU should declare that TC grad's are not college "grads". IRS and numerous federal agency's offered employment to TC grads. UT and USF are better schools, perhaps. But when you had arrived from out of state, TC was a viable alternative. I dont know about now, but when I went to TC, the accounting instructors were good. Mr LeDuc and George Windsor. As good as they come. This school is like many. You will get out of it what you put into it. Its not Harvard, but again, neither is UT or USF.

Too bad you think they totally rock. If you take your rock degree to a Florida State HR Dept. Watch how fast they rock you out of the office. I posted here two years ago and since then I have had to return to another SACS accredited college to earn a real degree. I now qualify to obtain a position that I should have been able to apply for a couple of decades ago. Post here in twenty years about how you still owe money for student loans and can't be employed by a county or state position. Also, when you go to a regular community college then to a graduate school, you don't owe near as much money in loans. Please everyone do your homework on the places you may want to work and see if they accept the degree you will be receiving.

I love Everest and I am so glad to be one of their students. They totally rock I have earned an Associates and Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from them. I am currently working on my Masters Degree. Maybe the reason why there are so many negative comments is because maybe you are all dumb as dirt and can't comprehend!!!!!

I graduated with a double major, and pass the cpa exam within 1 year, so I don't know why all the negative talk is about, besides I am considering enrolling in the master program with computer sciences as my core. Need to know location in dallas tx? P.S. I am going to a job interview that pays over 126k + I have offer of over 150K, thats for the political people out there who always are picking on Tampa College.

I began classes at Phillips College in 1988. Tampa College took over Phillips college in 1989. When I graduated in 1990 with an AS degree as a paralegal. Since then, I have gotten copies of transcripts from now FMU that do not reflect my credits from 1988. I have asked serveral times about the missing classes, and I was told that all the credits were there. I have no proof that I have taken those classes. I also owe loans from 1990.

Tampa College was a legit college. Fla Met Univ, no idea. My degree from Tampa College, along with my GPA, did qualify me for admission to a regionally accredited MBA program. I earned my MBA in an accelerated format. TC was not Harvard, but it was should not be in the shadow of UT or USF....Last time I checked, neither of these schools were Ivy League, either.

I graduated as a Medical Assistant from Tampa College in 1983 and at that time was told I could go bad at any time to attend the practical training again. Does this still hold true? I know work with quantum energy healing and am interesting in refreshing my skills...taking out blood, giving shots, EEG's, etc. Thank you, Sandra

I have not had a great experience with this college. My credits were not transfered from Phillips College and Tampa College which changed to Florida College right before my graduation with an associates degree. My transcripts to not include the classes I took prior to 1989. I have inquired several times, but to no avail. I have given up on trying to get my credits honored (the ones they acknowledge), by another college. I have been holding the bag and paying of student loans over 15 years.

this is an accredited school, I have already earned my associates, and know many other people who have earned their bachelors and masters degree

Be very careful when attending this so-called college. They weren't accredited by any local or state accrediting organization so if you want to transfer you are Shi* out of luck as no one else will honor your credits. They went out of business as Tampa College leaving me holding the bag on student loans and no degree.

Tampa College (1995 & prior) was a real school. I got my BA at Tampa College and my MBA at University of Florida. As for this "Everest University", I'm sorry, but that institution has nothing to do with Tampa College. Different school, different instructors, different classes and standards. I find it funny that current Everest students want to ride on the coat-tails of Tampa College. Tampa wasn't all that great of a school even when it was in operation. As a former Tampa College graduate I'm asking you to please stop referring that Everest is somehow connected to Tampa. It's not, no matter how much you'd like it to be.
