California Pacific University Introduction
Founded in 1976, California Pacific University is a distance learning university with administrative offices in Escondido, California. California Pacific University was the first college to be approved under the 1977 Educational Reform Act, and was the first California college approved to provide instructional programs without requiring residency.
California Pacific University (Cal-Pac) is private, independent educational institution that provides an array of Distance Learning programs for enrichment and education. The school is approved by the State of California to offer distance learning programs. Although it is not accredited by any nationally recognized accrediting agency, Cal-Pac’s programs are similar to those found at “traditional” universities.

I received a masters' degree from this wonderful academic institution. I learned an enormous amount and was continually challenged by the highly structured course materials that were provided by the university. I am looking forward to pursuing my doctorate degree with CPU. I highly recommend this institution of higher learning to older, working adults who are frequently in a crunch for time due to work and family obligations.
