Thank God for Stillman College. I'm currently a student, and I'm learning a lot to get me through life.
I attended Stillman College from 1971 to 1974 and played Baseball. I was the first to be drafted in the Major League Baseball first round by the Boston Red Sox and again by the Cleveland Indians. I retired from Baseball in 1985 spending 9 years in the Majors. Stillman was a beautiful College then and without Football. I am proud to have gone to a very well academically sound college. GO TIGERS

My experience at Stillman college is one to remember(93-97). This college not only gave me an opportunity to soar academically but it gave me the confidence I needed to overcome obstacles.

I was the 1st white graduate of Stillman College during a time when racism was at it's peak (1974-1978). Although I was forced to deal with issues that most college students don't encounter, I felt I got a top notch education that prepared me to pursue my goals. Looking back, the experiences built character and prepared me for Corporate America and wonderful life beyond college. Any college is what you make it whether you are on a white campus or an HBCU. Go Stillman Tigers!

I am now attending Stillman College, and based on what I have learned so far, it is a great school to attend. The staff really care about you and the accomplishments you make. They are like parents who give good advice and points you in the right direction. However, I really think the community should get more involved in what Stillman has to offer and to also donate to the school to help increase their popularity and programs. Go Stillman!

I attended Stillman College 2004-2006. I heard so many great things about Stillman from family members that attended and graduated and I thought I would have the same experiences but I was wrong. I had to leave Stillman because my family could not afford it, my freshman year alot of students had to leave because they could not afford it. We were on TV because we had students going to the soup kitchens because they were not allowed to eat in the lunchroom because they couldn't afford Stillman, these were students that were from up north or other parts of the country that did not have family here in Alabama. Students had to have fish fry's or carwashes so they could afford a plan ticket to go back home. The student body came together to have a meeting with Dr. McNealy to address our issues and concerns, he did not show up he stated that he had 7 CARS for everyday of the week and he did not have time for this instead he sent the Vice President Dean Whittiker to handle us and she did try to answer our questions and concerns so I am grateful to her. Stillman started going down hill the minute they got rid of MR. Bonner he was the only man that really showed concern about the students he was like a father to alot of us. He literally took me by the hand and got me set up in Stillman but he left after my first year and I had problems from then on out. I'm not saying that Stillman is a bad school I did have some great memories there and made friends that I still keep in contact with today, but if I could go back and do it all over again I would not have chose Stillman College.
